My first year on the Patreon

I can’t believe it’s already been one year (and already 164 posts!) since I started Patreon. With baby steps, I learned how to manage all this, how it works (or how it doesn’t :)), and I’m still learning, I’m still growing, I’m still improving my equipment. And still love it! Hope you are happy in this corner as well. For those of you who are new here and not sure what you can find or expect, check out the quick recap below. Plus, you can look forward to some special surprises and gifts during this celebration week!

As a children’s book illustrator (8+ years, 70+ books) and character designer (hundreds :), I teach you here how to draw sharing many tips and tricks I have learned as a self-taught + guide you on the picture book creating path + let you peek behind the scene daily life of illustrator + reveal my secrets in process videos + give my custom Procreate brushes + prepare for you practice sheet and guidelines to boost your skills + introduce Procreate tools + and much more!

Wide, cute, funny and useful content

In one year, I created 164 posts, many of which are for free members as well, so there is a lot of content you can explore and have fun with.

Video Drawing Tutorials, already 50!

Mostly voice-over and with PNG sketches for download, where I take you through each step.

  • From doodles and sketch studies through mini and beginner-friendly tutorials to the advanced level.

  • A lot of new skills, drawing tips and tricks, different styles or ways of drawing, and Procreate tools.

Drawing & Procreate Tips and Tricks

This is something extra besides all the skills I teach in tutorials.

Process Videos

Here you can watch my own process when I draw for my clients or my own projects, how I create characters, each step, each brush stroke, all my layers, all secret.

Behind the Picture Book/Picture Book Bootcamp

  • Here you can peek behind the scenes, discover daily life as an illustrator and gather many tips, tricks and my experience from children’s book illustrations and design, cover design, the entire process in detail… a great source for a newbie illustrator or artist who wants to be one.

  • Plus, I started Picture Book Bootcamp, where I guide you through this process for your own book (or for your clients), each step you need to know and make.

A lot of Brushes / Practice Sheets / Coloring Pages / Goodies / Freebies…

Plus, work updates and insights…

… (not just in books, but also, for example, logo design), some thoughts or blog kind of posts, prompts or assignments, or even sharing my traditional drawing.

Collections and Shop

  • I created several collections to help you navigate here more easily (with my ADHD, keeping some order is a bit more challenging, but I’m trying, bear with me!)

  • You can also visit my shop with some post or brushes to buy.

Membership

  • I offer a few very affordable tiers from basic to more advanced, so everyone can find the best option for themself. Even a session 1:1. You can switch your membership (or cancel, I won’t take it personally :)) at any time, so no pressure here.

  • And what is new is an annual membership option (with savings some money) for those who want to make a deeper commitment to their drawing or picture book creating journey.

  • You can buy a membership as a gift as well, for your loved ones.
