I’ve been diving into some traditional art techniques recently, and I wanted to share a little piece of that journey with you all! I spent some time working with charcoal and colored pencils, two mediums I don’t often use, but absolutely love for their depth and texture.
This piece features Totoro, one of my all-time favorite characters from Studio Ghibli. His gentle, whimsical nature has always inspired me, and I thought it would be the perfect subject for experimenting with these traditional tools.
It’s been such a rewarding experience to return to basics and get my hands messy with some good old-fashioned materials. I’m excited to continue exploring this side of my art and can’t wait to share more with you soon!
